You Have A Name

Source: Unsplash

I was invited to be a speaker at Atmajaya and that was my first time, I was nervous because I was going to speak in front of many people. My friend taught me how to be a good public speaker and he was helpful. I spoke about my life as a Deaf person and was fun. I started to love being a public speaker and had invited to be a public speaker at any chance. I'm an introvert and so feels weird if I speak in front of many people but I love it because here's what I speak in what I write in this blog. Feeling a new name, I have received.

We witnessed the baptism at my church after morning service, in which two girls accepted Jesus and got baptism, it was goosebumps. They have a name. What does mean you have a name? A name is a calling, a nickname, being who the person is. We see in 2 Corinthians 5: 17, we know primarily "new creation and the new has come."-- what seems you are born to new life, a new path, and new creation. You will have a name because you'll have a new life too.

God created the first man and then the first woman and gave Adam and Eve actually the man called her because God thought those names looked good. Adam means "the man became a living creature" in Genesis 2:7. Then God created a woman that Adam gave the name, Eve, because she was a mother of all living in Genesis 3: 20. Adam and Eve became one flesh that God wanted them living together. Adam and Eve got the name, the name is hope. They led and built a family on the earth, and the next up was on, but I don't need to be long, and we are back on this topic.

Making a sin is old, therefore God gave you the new. Don't repeat the same pattern despite we know He never gets tired to forgive. Repent and do better something. God wants you to have commitment and consistency.

This morning, I wrote an Instagram story about a comparison. I wrote about how to behave when making a sin. You don't need to feel guilty about making a sin because you are forgiven. But commitment and consistency are that He wants and asks for you. Because it's a MUST. MUST means you need to be devout and promise not to make sin again. You got a name, and you have to take care of your new name. You take charge in the new name that God has given. Keep for that. Watch in your act.

You got a name because you have salvation, keep for the salvation as well as same what you take charge in the name. Share another new name with everyone who doesn't know Jesus to accept the new name! We know what the relationship between God and humans is in the Bible. How many words and commandments you have read in the Bible between the Old Testament and New Testament? Say it.

Love, forgiveness, self-control, praying, rejoicing, and compassion, and building each other. The Bible is what about specifically addresses the relationship between you and God.

Because you got a name, you believe in God, and you will keep that. I believe you will take care of your new name. Jesus Christ, we are praying to take responsibility for the name and keep the new name. Jesus Christ's name, Amen

The Idea of Feminism In the Church

A veiled woman lighting up a candle in the Orthodox Church, source: Adobe Stock Roman Catholic Pope Francis appeared a 60-minute on CBS's live-streaming interview with a female reporter, Norah O'Donnell. She was curious in a question towards on him,  " I'm curious, for a little girl growing up Catholic today, will she ever have the opportunity to be a deacon and participate as a clergy member in the church ?" Pope Francis simply, saying, " No ." O'Donnell seemed to trying to push on him about her idea of the progressive and reformation in the Catholic Church. But, thanks God, Pope was strong defending his faith.  This is a 60-minute interview has opened that in fact the pressure of the church reformation has been increasingly happening today. We heard that some churches trying to allow its LGBTQ movement within church life, like the Unitarian church. And, I think some churches have accepted the female ordination, but usually it is Protestant church b

Women, Modesty, and Veiling

(Veiling of women in different era, source: Diaqnoz.Az) " I am Orthodox and I do not agree with veiling " on a comment that recorded on Instagram while posting a reel of female Orthodox veiled at a church and monastery.  I am Orthodox and I do agree with veiling . So, why? The first place, that people may think that we are "sexist" or "pervert" as controlling on female clothing appearances. That's possible because we live in a modern era which is the female rights are more honourable and important in its society. Many girls are independent raised well and having same chances of working at secularism typically careers. But, as Orthodox Christians, who we know that we are about 2.000 years living to equip our Christ looks like in the modern era, which that has been fallen down, especially rising up feminist's movement. The feminism is mainly different from what women have fought for equality gender as surely their aim is to dominate and create the &q

Holy Fire in Jerusalem We typically celebrate the Easter - however that the Orthodox people generally saying that's Pascha - but I felt like that was so special that I celebrated the Pascha in a different Christianity tradition which was unfamiliar to myself, being to live in the country who well-known about Western Christianity. We celebrate the Pascha on a different calendar, it is Julian Calendar so many people wonder that why we are being late celebrate the Pascha and even the Christmas, a week late (between 12-13 days on Julian and Gregorian calendars) from the Western Christians. But, in certain times in history, we celebrate on the same date like 2017 we celebrate the Pascha together with Roman Catholics and it will be happening next year! The Eastern Orthodox is the holy and first church to just celebrated a blessed holy week in last week! Unfortunately, I was unlucky in that schedule as I had a five-day training during the holy week schedule, that caused I had to miss mult
