What's REAL Community?

Source: Unsplash

I was raised in different communities since moving to Jogja. A community is about looking the "self-identify", and "self-proud", and "this is what am I", like what you identify is. Joining a new community means you have found what you identify then growing up yourself and with your friends, that's together, all about a community. You are going from the first community-- family-- to a tough journey with several communities, to find what a second community can be grown better, and to find what are you. It can be school, university, workplace, or anywhere you are. If you love football, you can join NFL Fans Indonesia, a community where you'll get more information you needed, like where will you play football with your friends, watch a football game together, and Super Bowl. It as does to you love traveling, you can invite your friends and make a plan, maybe you want to go to Bali, and you can invite your friends to get on vacation in Bali.

Jesus made a community. He chose the twelve of Christ. A question, why He needs a community and chose a kind of more special, twelve only? Jesus knows he can't go by himself, and Jesus chose the twelve whom he met and baptized. This is special. No one can change the twelve only. It can't be random as He knows who they are, as deeper as he knows much. We are going to see Luke 6: 12-16, which detailed who they are chosen to minister to and witness God. Jesus named a community he made "apostles". Apostles, in Christianity term, is defined as the chosen, and in Greek, apostolos,  the person sent.

However, Jesus isn't looking easy to build a healthier community because several apostles deny Him (the Apostle Peter denied three times), didn't believe He rose, and became a traitor. So, we are going to see why in John chapter 13 and have a deeper question, "Jesus answered, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand." Jesus knows that he has proved that he doesn't need to prove himself anymore. This is why and we see why. Jesus doesn't need to prove "why", but he has been.

At one point, we have another why, you know that Judas became a traitor, and the one rest is the chosen, a man who you know? Matthias. Who is he? Let's read the Bible in Acts 1: 12-26 and Luke 5: 27-28. Matthias was who a man witnessed his resurrection and was willing to leave his job to follow him. Even though, Jesus is at the same time at saying, "Follow me", no one wanted to follow him in Luke 9: 57-62. Some people received his calling, therefore, to bury their father and say goodbye to his family. If you get logical, if you get your boss calling, you follow him to attend a meeting that is crucial for your company, as same as when you received God's calling, just follow him and go with him. This is special.

Jesus made a community, which is REAL, in which is a community deeper knowing God and placing God, the first. You definitely want to go somewhere people pray for you, serve with, and learn together. Come and grow up better, work in your faith. This is a community that was created knowing God. Looking at how Jesus made a community and encouraged his disciples to get closer to God, we are supposed to build the same what He did and see 1 Thessalonians 5: 11.

The real community that places you to find what you identify is, safely and freely. Which is all about you needing God and people to pray for you. This is your community, as this is special. To express what you come for and what you have concerned about, as this is how we work together as a community.

The Idea of Feminism In the Church

A veiled woman lighting up a candle in the Orthodox Church, source: Adobe Stock Roman Catholic Pope Francis appeared a 60-minute on CBS's live-streaming interview with a female reporter, Norah O'Donnell. She was curious in a question towards on him,  " I'm curious, for a little girl growing up Catholic today, will she ever have the opportunity to be a deacon and participate as a clergy member in the church ?" Pope Francis simply, saying, " No ." O'Donnell seemed to trying to push on him about her idea of the progressive and reformation in the Catholic Church. But, thanks God, Pope was strong defending his faith.  This is a 60-minute interview has opened that in fact the pressure of the church reformation has been increasingly happening today. We heard that some churches trying to allow its LGBTQ movement within church life, like the Unitarian church. And, I think some churches have accepted the female ordination, but usually it is Protestant church b

Women, Modesty, and Veiling

(Veiling of women in different era, source: Diaqnoz.Az) " I am Orthodox and I do not agree with veiling " on a comment that recorded on Instagram while posting a reel of female Orthodox veiled at a church and monastery.  I am Orthodox and I do agree with veiling . So, why? The first place, that people may think that we are "sexist" or "pervert" as controlling on female clothing appearances. That's possible because we live in a modern era which is the female rights are more honourable and important in its society. Many girls are independent raised well and having same chances of working at secularism typically careers. But, as Orthodox Christians, who we know that we are about 2.000 years living to equip our Christ looks like in the modern era, which that has been fallen down, especially rising up feminist's movement. The feminism is mainly different from what women have fought for equality gender as surely their aim is to dominate and create the &q

The Eastern Orthodox is the holy and first church to just celebrated a blessed holy week in last week! Unfortunately, I was unlucky in that schedule as I had a five-day training during the holy week schedule, that caused I had to miss mult
