Bible Journaling and Reading Bible, What's Difference?

Source: Unsplash

When I left the worship service, someone stood up next to the Bibles and tips and asked some questions with her about that. The reading tips are so good to me despite I have my own practice. I remember when my friend spent a conversation about Bible journaling in a class. She wrote a lot of journals, and she loved them. So, I was impressed with her and loved hearing her story about journaling a Bible.

Bible has changed my life.

Yes, that definitely! That always happens and no one doubts it. Bible is the perfect guidance and a tool to witness and have life experience with Jesus. But I was asked to teach her how to read Bible routinely, that was a great question because I know many Christians rarely read Bible like mine. That's tough! We are busy and sometimes do not have time to read Bible. I do and work from morning to night in a week, that's really exhausting! It can be 8 to 9, depending on my schedule. I have a three-hour regular in resting my body and including an 8-hour sleeping. Having an off day becomes rare I have had in my recent life. So, I wish I still have time to read Bible.

Bible journaling is the same as reading Bible, the difference is how consistent you are.

Consistency is the strong key to habits. We live in the modern era, so we do not occasionally depend on the physical book and have a Bible app on our phone, like Your Version, Bible Gateway, Quick Bible, and Olive Tree. You just open and search the books that you want to read, like Genesis, Joel, Malachi, Psalm, Matthew, John, Revelation, Luke, etc., and offered different versions, such as ESV, NIV, NLT, KJV, etc. Looks easy and practical, isn't it?

Having a Bible app doesn't mean the physical book is wrong and weak, but highly recommend reading the physical book than reading a Bible app. Why? Because it feels better and has a role in overcoming phone addiction. You potentially won't fall into addiction and lust when reading the physical book. I love reading the physical book because it is easier to reflect on what it says and helpful to understand God's word and write a journal, as well as prepare a sermon for my channel. I always preach by the physical Bible book. That's my lovely work. But, when I write a blog, I always open Olive Tree and Bible Gateway, which have been my favorite.

Seeking the reference will be helpful to understand the verse.

Bible is different from regular books, even though those are in English spoken language and the same language. However, no one can understand what it says. So, why? Why can't they understand? Linguistics, history, and grammar are crucial in understanding God's word. The Bible authors spoke their languages, which could strongly affect linguistics and Jesus spoke three languages. We see translations are spoken differently despite having the same language.

If you want to read Bible which gets closer to the original language that Jesus speaks, you can read KJV, the oldest Bible translation and written in the 15s. Jesus speaks Aramaic, Hebrew, and Jews. The twelve of Christ were blessed by the power of the Holy Spirit in ministering the gospel in the world, see the Book of Acts. Apostle Thomas went to India. How curious you are about what language he used in India? Didn't he know the local language in India? Seems impossible, yeah, that happened.

Seeking the reference is important, you can ask your pastor to discuss and learn together. Listening to what the Holy Spirit works with you. You won't be confused to read the Bible if you are trustworthy in the power of the Holy Spirit and truly hearts out in righteousness.

Lastly, I want to share tips that usually I own when reading the Bible. Hope this work out for you.

1. Praying

Praying is powerful. You can't read Bible easier without praying. Praying is helpful and strongly to understand God's word. Maturing your hearts out and don't be selfish. Make sure praying has been your habit because if you don't start praying as a habit, you cannot be helpful to be habits in reading, experiencing, and praying. You can start both as well and that works.

2. Reading by seeking the reference

You don't need to have to read Genesis, the first book. You can read which book you want to begin. Seeking the apps is probably helpful. I strongly recommend you, are Got Questions and Bible Study Tools on the website. I love them. If you still cannot get it, go to a church and meet your pastor, or make an appointment with your pastor. The pastors are going to will help you.

3. Listening to the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a special gift that God gave after getting a water baptism. That is addressed in the book of Corinthians and John when the Apostle John got baptized in the river Jordan and where Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit works well for you, and you need to listen to and experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

4. Make habits and don't need to make a target

Make habits and you don't need to make a target, because if you make a target and you will feel burdened, although it doesn't actually what we meant. Reading the Bible isn't a requirement. Reading the Bible needs to habit. To habit, you will feel, "Yeah, that's my life, I want more." That works, really. I don't say you have to read the Bible in the entire 30 days but make a habit and it will work out. Be a habit, be yours, that will work out and is worth believing.

5. Journaling Bible is the maintaining capable in reading skills.

It's not an option if you don't get used to writing and journaling a Bible, but that's a strong recommendation. Bible isn't for memorizing but for practicing. You can journal a Bible because it will be read as often as possible you have. That's easy to read whenever you want to. You can remind about which points you wrote. What points? You can read the book where you journal a Bible. That will be helpful in developing reading skills.

The top five tips on how to read Bible. You can follow my own as that will be helpful but if you don't follow my own, that's okay because everyone has their way to read Bible. I hope you can read the Bible and understand God's word easier, better, and more blessed. God will help you when reading the Bible! That's exactly! Bible is a beautiful and great book to reflect on, read, practice, and learn.

Make a habit and don't need to make a target! Be a habit and be yours!

She was curious in a question towards on him,  " I'm curious, for a little girl growing up Catholic today, will she ever have the opportunity to be a deacon and participate as a clergy member in the church ?" Pope Francis simply, saying, " No ." O'Donnell seemed to trying to push on him about her idea of the progressive and reformation in the Catholic Church. But, thanks God, Pope was strong defending his faith.  This is a 60-minute interview has opened that in fact the pressure of the church reformation has been increasingly happening today. We heard that some churches trying to allow its LGBTQ movement within church life, like the Unitarian church. Women, Modesty, and Veiling

(Veiling of women in different era, source: Diaqnoz.Az) " I am Orthodox and I do not agree with veiling " on a comment that recorded on Instagram while posting a reel of female Orthodox veiled at a church and monastery.  I am Orthodox and I do agree with veiling . So, why? The first place, that people may think that we are "sexist" or "pervert" as controlling on female clothing appearances. That's possible because we live in a modern era which is the female rights are more honourable and important in its society. Many girls are independent raised well and having same chances of working at secularism typically careers. But, as Orthodox Christians, who we know that we are about 2.000 years living to equip our Christ looks like in the modern era, which that has been fallen down, especially rising up feminist's movement. The feminism is mainly different from what women have fought for equality gender as surely their aim is to dominate and create the &q

We celebrate the Pascha on a different calendar, it is Julian Calendar so many people wonder that why we are being late celebrate the Pascha and even the Christmas, a week late (between 12-13 days on Julian and Gregorian calendars) from the Western Christians. But, in certain times in history, we celebrate on the same date like 2017 we celebrate the Pascha together with Roman Catholics and it will be happening next year! The Eastern Orthodox is the holy and first church to just celebrated a blessed holy week in last week! Unfortunately, I was unlucky in that schedule as I had a five-day training during the holy week schedule, that caused I had to miss mult
