Why You Are Christian?

Source: Unsplash

"Christian", is a term that the first time to be called in Acts 11: 26. What do you mean by the term "Christian"?

Follower of Christ, believer, son of God, and whatever you find in the Bible. But I am about to write deeper on asking why you are Christian? That would be interesting!

Being a Christian, that's as usual as what you put in believing Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior. That's the one. That's basic. You are a Christian who believes in Him and that's your salvation, but you need to grow up with your faith and sacrifice why you are Christian.

Christian apologetics is the lesson that I learn and is part of Christianity theology. That's deeper and close to criticism of what I am interested in and have been. Like, you are reading the book of Lukas about the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. That all comes when non-Christians ask why if you believe in Jesus is God but why he died on the cross. And even many Christians who struggle to forgive and love their friends that they hate would be asking the same! Why Jesus came to love, forgive, and pray to sinners, enemies, and unbelievers instead of He should have to battle and punish sinners, enemies, unbelievers?

That's not debate or comparison but that's about the truth that you should find out and that's an answer. You need to see Proverbs 1: 7 and read carefully what you find. When you start to feel fear and doubt your faith, that is a great step! Because you will start to learn deeper Christianity. Moses is the example of a person who had been looking for God in Exodus 3 and 4. God said, "Here I am." when Moses looked up. So, we are learning how Moses looking for God, ended up with God appearing and sending his brother to help him on his mission. Fear and doubt are good steps because that's you're beginning to believe and find the truth to follow, obey, and confess.

I know many Christians born have been struggling for their faith and maybe look like atheists. That's okay because we are coming different experiences, backgrounds, and relationships. We aren't the same and we aren't perfect, but somebody who willingness to looking the truth is way respectful and should be an example for us. They aren't stupid and they are way up steps by time coming up.

When I worked on a Bible project, I always started to read Timothy 3: 16 and discussed how to make people understand the word of God. Timothy 3: 16 is the basic of Christian apologetics I think because this Timothy is about righteousness. We also know there many churches with different denominations and traditions, see how they work the right theology or not. That's not an answer that you received if you go by yourself and follow your pastors, friends, and evangelists because they just represent the opinion that you have a choice to believe or not, so you don't have to follow their opinion and you have to follow your Spirit. An answer only that comes from the Lord. See how Paul wrote, be ready in season and out of season; rebuke, reprove, exhort and preach the word by patience and teaching in 2 Timothy 4:2 ESV. Paul taught us in more research, analyze, and learn deeper about Christianity. We aren't pastors and I as well, but we are supposed to learn more in growing up our faith. You don't need to be a pastor if you just want to learn and know more about your faith.

I have a friend who was from a Pentecostal church but moved to a baptism church for a couple months but come back to a Pentecostal church because he wants to feel the presence of God and experience the Holy Spirit. That sounded amazing how his spiritual journey was.

So, you are Christian, and I have to suggest that you need to learn and find an answer to why you are Christian. Don't fear making mistakes because mistakes are part of your faith journey and experience. You need to experience what your journey is. Started with curiosity and doubt, then finding the truth to believe, follow, obey, and confess.

Truth to obey

Faith to believe

Holy Spirit to work

Read to understand the word

Preach to truth

Experience to feel the presence

Last Supper, source: Artchi The Paris Olympics got hit a different whole idea which is usually taken held traditionally at a national stadium - Paris chose to boat instead a long walking and performed beyond nonsense that they performed "satanic, promoting the LGBTQ, and destroying the Last Supper". That would caused an international angry which is considered mocking Christianity faith. The Last Supper is popularity whom, an Italian painter, Leonard da Vinci. I remember when I studied at a Catholic school, I always saw the Last Supper at dining room or reception room. A Catholic teacher said that was the last night where Jesus met His disciples before he was being arrested, tortured, crucified, an...
