Deaf Ministry

"Jesus" in sign language
Source: Sunset Church of Christ

I spent reading and having conversations about Deaf ministry through a video-calling appointment. I don't know much about that but it's interesting. I think Indonesia has never done the Deaf ministry as foreign countries do since I have never heard of that. So, we are feeling left behind by far. So, I kind of really fascinated by the Deaf ministry.

I spent interesting video-calling appointments with an international Deaf pastor who lives in the United Kingdom. He serves the Deaf ministry in Europe, not just in the United Kingdom, his country. I just got it that the term "international pastor", is interesting. He also led the world conference where Deaf Christians and pastors around the world came to praise God and had pieces of training in a week. That called is the World Deaf Assemblies of God Conference, which is to be set up holding in Barcelona, Spain in October 2023 as previously was to be in Melbourne, Australia. You can see the website, WDAG 2023 – World Deaf Assemblies of God. He also said there is a Deaf pastor who serves and leads the Deaf Christian community in Asia and are many international Deaf pastors. I hope I can meet with them in person.

Becoming an international pastor, I am kind of about leading the church across the continent which they lead for. It means they should serve some countries as scheduled and where they lead, not just settle in the country. That's really interesting. I now know some fields where a pastor works, such as senior pastor, associate pastor, lead pastor, street preacher, chaplain of hospital, police office, etc.

I have been wanting for that, despite I don't know anything about Deaf ministry, whatever is related to the Deaf Christian community. In my mind, just hope can serve them as much I can as possible and experience it. We have a collaboration channel as part of preaching the gospel by sign and voice.  I occasionally watch Deaf churches and services on Youtube. Those churches and services are to be held in America by different denominations, but I don't know if it's going to be also outside of the United States, like Europe, Asia, etc. Yes, I know America only because I know America has a long history of the Deaf Christian community. They have a university and a seminary that studies Deaf ministry. and have Deaf pastors who serve Deaf or mainstream churches across America. They also have a mission non-profit organization that lives on missions in serving the world on behalf of the name of Deaf community. It shows as many as I get it. It's one of the Deaf Christian social media platforms that has been famous for the Bible-signed translation across different sign languages over the world, is called the Deaf Bible Society based in Arlington, Texas. It does to other Christian organizations which serve the Deaf Christian community in Iowa, Virginia, Maryland, New York, California, etc.

I don't know about Asian countries, but I am sure Indonesia still doesn't have a kind of that despite we have a Deaf Bible regularly on Monday night on Zoom. And, we have little Deaf pastors, but I haven't met them in person yet. I did hear that Jakarta has a Deaf church, as well as Medan, and go planned to be established in Sulawesi. It means we have three Deaf churches. That is incredible. Praise God! We indeed continue our work and service for the Deaf Christian community as we mission to get to know Jesus and understand God's word through sign language or other access that possibly they can use to benefit. We believe the Holy Spirit works the best for us. We can build a Deaf church or mainstream ministry with hearing Christians, as long as they can understand God's words like they can read the Bible and know what it says, and that's okay and that will be good. We have many ways to aim for our mission. We might hold a camp, conference, seminar, or whatever since we always live on missions.

So, I wish can be part of this community in the future, but I don't know for sure as my life belongs to God and I only follow what God wants. I would pray for the Deaf Christian community so they can reach out and know more about Jesus and can read the Bible and know what it says. God bless Deaf Christians across the world and Indonesia.

"Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

John 20: 29.

She was curious in a question towards on him,  " I'm curious, for a little girl growing up Catholic today, will she ever have the opportunity to be a deacon and participate as a clergy member in the church ?" Pope Francis simply, saying, " No ." O'Donnell seemed to trying to push on him about her idea of the progressive and reformation in the Catholic Church. But, thanks God, Pope was strong defending his faith.  This is a 60-minute interview has opened that in fact the pressure of the church reformation has been increasingly happening today. How Christianity View Generation Z?

Source: Asbury Revival 2023, Cincinnati Enquirer I spent the weekend working and playing on a PC/ computer. I learned and watched about Asbury Revival which went viral in Wilmore, Kentucky. Approximately 15.000 attendances worshipping at a university, any sources tell. Which were mostly college and high school students. That was goosebumps! Felt like "Wow, America is back on the right way!" and "That's nice." Generation Z, where somebody who was born around the 1990s to 2000s, living depends on technology and that is called the modern era. We have cellphones, tablets, Instagram, Twitter, and laptops, and we depend on technology the most. I heard that is also called Millennial Generation. We have easier access than the previous generation. I'm one of this generation. I depend on technology since I can't live without them. As you do and exactly, you can't live without them, aren't you? Well, we will learn about how Christianity views Generation Z. ...

Controversial Performance at the Olympics Opening Ceremony

Last Supper, source: Artchi The Paris Olympics got hit a different whole idea which is usually taken held traditionally at a national stadium - Paris chose to boat instead a long walking and performed beyond nonsense that they performed "satanic, promoting the LGBTQ, and destroying the Last Supper". That would caused an international angry which is considered mocking Christianity faith. The Last Supper is popularity whom, an Italian painter, Leonard da Vinci. He made the Last Supper in 1495-1498. The Last Supper is dedicated to the last day of Jesus Christ where He put His blood and body to the twelve disciples before Judas eventually cheated. Jesus Christ, then crucified and rose at the day three - that Jesus had fulfilled His prophecy. I remember when I studied at a Catholic school, I always saw the Last Supper at dining room or reception room. A Catholic teacher said that was the last night where Jesus met His disciples before he was being arrested, tortured, crucified, an...
